Certified Home Health Aides
To provide home care to people of all ages and in all areas of Bergen County. Short term, long term and live-in positions available.

Requirements: Driver’s license, own transportation and flexible schedule required. Completion of training course and exam, and certification by the NJ State Board of Nursing

Job Description: To provide personal care to people at home or in assisted living or nursing homes. Responsibilities may include helping with personal hygiene, meal preparation, errands, light housekeeping and other activities of daily living. R.N./Direct Care Supervisor

Job Description: Initial intake, assessment and plan of care in the patient's home. Supervise and evaluate the home health aides working in the field by regularly visiting them in the homes or facilities where they provide service to our clients and by supplying them with on-going training and education. Maintain computerized records on all cases. Travel throughout Bergen County and neighboring towns. Must drive. Spanish speaking helpful. (See employment for more information about working at VHSBC.


Volunteer Opportunities

Interns: Use your expertise to help us help others. You can help whether you’re currently involved in, retired, or a student in one of the following fields: finance, health care, computers, media, PR, graphic arts, outreach, geriatrics, elder care, child care, building HVAC, volunteerism...

Volunteers to assist with marketing our home care services.

CHEER Volunteers to assist with grocery shopping for seniors.

We need volunteers to help seasonally, to assist in delivering holiday gifts donated to our clients by many organizations.

We are also always looking for dedicated individuals to join both our Board and our Professional Advisory Council.
